Gatari Egide survived the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi in the Southern Province of Rwanda in Huye District. He held various responsibilities in the Genocide Survivors Organizations since 2004.
From 2010 to 2012, Gatari Egide served as the National Coordinator of AERG – Association des Étudiants et Élèves Rescapés du Genocide. He also served as the Coordinator of Dukundane Family – organization of survivors of the 1994 Genocide studied at Groupe Scolaire Saint André, from 2007 to 2009.
Following his Master’s in Project Management at Jomo Kenyetta University of Agriculture and Technology, Gatari Egide also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Adventist University of Central Africa. He also attended different training in Rwanda, Ethiopia, India, Tanzania and Ghana.
Gatari Egide is a Public Servant at Rwanda Agriculture Board where he works as Agricultural Subsidies Programme Manager. He also worked for the Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Resources and in Special Guarantee Fund.
In his spare time, Gatari Egide reads books, socialize with family and friends. As a player of Karate, Gatari holds a black belt, 2nd Dan. He is married to Masimbi Mutemberezi Carine with whom he has one son.
Dimitrie Sissi Mukanyiligira was born, raised up and survived the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi, in Kigali – Rwanda.
She holds an MBA in Project Management from Oklahoma Christian University and a Master of Social Science in Gender and Development from the University of Rwanda, she also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management from the Kigali Institute of Science, Technology and Management – KIST. She also attended different trainings in Rwanda, Republic of Korea, Armenia, Australia, South Africa and USA.
Dimitrie works with the World Bank – Rwanda since 2005, an organisation she joined after 8 years working with the United Nations Development Programme. She also worked at Umushumba Mwiza Center in Kigali and Belgian Red Cross. Dimitrie also worked at Agahozo-Shalom Youth Village from 2013 to 2014 as Business Development Director. She also chaired the Board of Administrators of COOPEDU (Cooperative d’Epargne et de Crédit Duterimbere) from 2011 to 2013.

Nshimyimana Emmanuel born and survived the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi in the Western Province, Karongi District.
Nshimyimana Emmanuel served as AERG (Association des Étudiants et Élèves Rescapés du Genocide) Coordinator at the Kigali Institute of Education from 2007 to 2008 before joining AEGIS Students – Youth Wing of AEGIS Trust from 2008 to 2010 as National Coordinator.
Nshimyimana Emmanuel is doing his Master in Genocide Studies and Prevention at University of Rwanda, he also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Science with Education from Kigali Institute of Education, he also attended and organized different National and International conference on genocide and genocide commemoration.
He is currently working as a consultant in peace education and peace building domain. With his expertise in peace and values education, he contributed in elaboration of peace and values model lesson plans book and peace and values teacher guide book.
Nshimyimana worked as Peace Education Facilitator at AEGIS Trust from 2013 to 2017. He also worked at National Commission for the Fight Against Genocide –CNLG, as a District Coordinator in Kamonyi and Muhanga District from 2011 to 2012 and as Head of Murambi Genocide Memorial from 2010 to 2011. He also worked at Service National des Juridictions Gacaca – SNJG as District Coordinator in Nyabihu District in 2010.
Nshimyimana spends much time reading books related on Genocide and he dedicates his much time to fight genocide denials.
Nshimyimana Emmanuel is married with two daughters.
Ngoga Aristarque born in the Northern Province and survived the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi in the City of Kigali, Kicukiro District. He held various responsibilities in the Genocide Survivors Organizations since 1998.
Ngoga Aristarque joined AERG (Association des Eléves et Etudiant Rescapés du Genocide) at Groupe Scolaire de Byimana Secondary School fours year after the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi and occupied different position in the top leadership of the organisation.
In 2007, when he was at Kigali Institute of Education he served as AERG National Vice Coordinator from 2007 to 2008, the same year he joined GAERG and since then he is an active member of the organisation.
From 2009 to 2015, Ngoga Aristarque worked as GAERG Executive Secretary, the same time the Commissioner in charge of Social Affairs for IBUKA (the umbrella of Survivor’s organizations). He left GAERG Executive Secretariat joining the public sector.
Ngoga Aristarque holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sciences with Education from Kigali Institute of Education. He also attended different trainings: Refugee emergency response, humanitarian activities, sexual and gender basic violence, UN trainings on security, prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse, financial human resources management and project management.
Horanimpundu Jean Paul born and survived the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi in the Western Province, Rusizi District. He held various responsibilities in the Genocide Survivors Organizations since 2006 where he was in AERG UNR Huye Campus.
Horanimpundu has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Mount Kenya University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture Economics and Agribusiness from the National University of Rwanda.
Born from a coffee farmer, Horanimpundu decided to follow his family carrier, for now is a coffee farmer and is also working for RWACOF Exports Ltd as in charge of Coffee Washing Stations Operations.
Horanimpundu is married and blessed with two children.
D’Artagnan Habintwali survived the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi in the Southern Province, Huye District. He held various responsibilities in the Genocide Survivors Organisations, where from 2011 to 2013 he was the Coordinator of AERG KIE (Kigali Institute of Education).
Currently, he works at the Kigali Genocide Memorial as a Guide. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology with Education from the Kigali Institute of Education.
Jules Rutarihire born and survived the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi in Bugesera District, Nyamata Sector. He is a graduate of University of Rwanda, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in International Politics.
Jules Rutarihire participated actively in students survivors’ association in secondary school and University of Rwanda. He performed different roles in AERG such as the President of Auditing Committee and the First Vice Coordinator AERG UNR from 2013 to 2015
Currently, he works at the Office at the Government Spokesperson. His previously worked at Rwanda Telecentre Network as Access Points Manager for three years. He also worked as a languages teacher in Bugesera District, Nyamata Sector in 2011, a position he left to join University of Rwanda.
Me Twizeyimana Théophile survived the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi in Northern Province of Rwanda in Gicumbi District. He conducted various responsibilities in the Genocide Survivors Organization since 2007.
From 2012 to 2014 Me Twizeyimana served both as Advisor in Auditing Committee and Legal Volunteer of AERG (Association des Etudiant et Elèves Rescapés du Genocide).
Me Twizeyimana has a Post-Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice given by Institute of Legal Practice and Development (ILPD). He also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from Kigali Independent University(ULK).
Me Twizeyimana is an Active advocate member of Rwanda Bar Association and East Africa Law Society since 2016. He is also accredited by the Ministry of Justice to work as Private Notary since April 2018. Being both an Advocate and Private Notary gives him the opportunity to work as a Managing Partner at FIAT-JUSTITIA – a Law Firm based in Rwanda.
In his free time, Me Twizeyimana entertains with family and friends as well as watching football, he is a life-long Liverpool fan.
